Making your first storybook
Go to Make a storybook, type your child's first name, pick their age band, and tap a few appearance words. Pick a story seed or write your own idea in a sentence. Quillow writes the story first, then paints the pages one at a time. The first book takes two to four minutes, mostly the illustrations.
Why was my story idea turned down?
Every idea is read before writing starts. Ideas with violence, cruelty, horror, or real-world tragedy are turned down. Mild peril is allowed, so a lost mitten or a friendly storm at sea is fine. If yours was refused and you think it should not have been, send it to us on the contact form and a person will read it.
One page does not look like my child
Open the book and use Re-paint on that page. The character sheet is reused, so it is the scene that changes, not your child. If the second attempt is also wrong, the appearance words may be fighting each other, for example a hat and a hairstyle. Fewer words usually work better than more.
Ordering a hardcover
Open the book and choose Order hardcover. You give a shipping address, and the order is $29. Printing takes 7 to 10 days inside the United States. Hardcovers can be ordered on any plan, including the free story.
Cancelling Storyteller
Billing, then Cancel. Your books stay in your library and stay readable, and you can still order hardcovers of them. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends.
Deleting everything
Your data, then Delete everything. It removes the account, every book, every illustration, and every order record from our database at once. There is no soft delete and no backup copy kept for later.
